Enfance et soupires : Royalty Free Music

Description

Royalty free music with a jerky, complex rhythm. Composed in 1996, the central point of this composition is its rhythm, which was inspired by the original music of a southern Moroccan village called “Houwara”. Houwarya music is played on a kind of drum called “Bendir.” The musicians perform a specific dance while they play. Here, “Enfance et soupires” is performed with strings, brass, and woodwinds. The main theme is played alternately by all the sections, each playing 3 or 4 notes of the theme before the next section take over the progress of the main melody, thus creating a rhythmic question/answer game between the different sections.
