NAY : Royalty Free Music

Improvised Arabic music with the Nay as the principal instrument. This is a flute made from a reed that uses quarter tone scales. The music makes one think of grand desert expanses, and invites one to introspection and meditation. The improvisation of the Nay is accompanied by a discreet drum kit in a Jazz fusion style, in which the snare drum and the large drum are not called for; the kit is played with only toms and cymbals. A gourd also takes part (discreetly) in the rhythm section. The choir is treated with effects and is used as a layer of sound.
